Tea Time Alice: The Art of Sculpted Fondant

Role: Lead Videographer & Editor Collaboration: Tanesha (Tea Time Alice)

The Concept: For the "Tea Time Alice" project, the goal was to capture the delicate, meditative process of Tanesha’s sculpting. The centerpiece—a fondant Alice whose dress morphs into the ripples of a teacup—required a visual approach that emphasized texture, precision, and the "handcrafted" nature of the work.

Technical Execution:

  • Macro Videography: Focused on tight, detailed shots to highlight the tactile manipulation of the fondant and the subtle transitions from character to teacup.

  • Process-Driven Editing: The edit was structured to reflect the steady, rhythmic flow of sculpting, ensuring the viewer feels the weight and transformation of the material.

  • Visual Narrative: By focusing on the "ripples," the video bridges the gap between traditional food prep and high-end gallery art, aligning with a contemporary, surreal aesthetic.
